Kolej Yayasan Melaka was formed with the belief and understanding that higher education is critical to the progress of the nation. The institution was officially opened in 1997 by then Minister of Education, Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak and today the Prime Minster of Malaysia.
